How to Connect Your LG CineBeam Q to Airplay & Screen Share

Connecting your LG CineBeam Q to AirPlay (for Apple devices) and Screen Share
(for Android/Windows devices) is primarily done through your Wi-Fi network.
The LG CineBeam Q is a smart projector that supports AirPlay 2 and other screen sharing standards like Miracast (often referred to as Screen Share on LG devices) via its webOS operating system.

Here is a general guide on how to set it up: 📶 Initial Network Setup (Crucial)
Both AirPlay and Screen Share require that your sending device (phone, tablet, computer) and the LG CineBeam Q are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
* On your LG CineBeam Q:
   * Go to the Home screen (or press the Settings button on your remote).
   * Navigate to Settings \rightarrow Network \rightarrow Network Connection (or similar).
   * Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect the projector.
 * On your source device (phone/laptop): Ensure it is also connected to the exact same Wi-Fi network.
🍎 Connecting via AirPlay (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
The CineBeam Q supports AirPlay 2, which allows you to stream content or mirror your entire screen from a compatible Apple device.
A. Enable AirPlay on the Projector
 * On the CineBeam Q remote, go to the Home Dashboard (usually a dedicated button or an icon on the home screen).
 * Look for and select the AirPlay option.
 * Go into AirPlay & HomeKit Settings.
 * Make sure the AirPlay option is set to On. You can also set security options here (e.g., Require Code).

B. Initiate AirPlay from Your Apple Device
 * To Stream Content (e.g., a video from the Photos app):
   * Open the app (e.g., Photos, YouTube, Apple TV+).
   * Tap the AirPlay icon (a screen with a triangle pointing up).
   * Select your LG CineBeam Q from the list of devices.
 * To Mirror Your Screen (iPhone/iPad):
   * Open Control Center (swipe down from the top-right corner on newer iPhones, or up from the bottom on older ones).
   * Tap the Screen Mirroring icon (two overlapping rectangles).
   * Select your LG CineBeam Q from the list.
 * To Mirror Your Screen (Mac):
   * Click the Control Center icon in the menu bar.
   * Click Screen Mirroring.
   * Select your LG CineBeam Q.
If a code appears on the projector screen, enter it on your Apple device.
📱 Connecting via Screen Share (Android/Windows)
For Android devices and Windows PCs, the LG CineBeam Q typically uses the industry standard called Miracast (often branded as "Screen Share" on LG products).
A. Start Screen Share on the Projector
 * On the CineBeam Q remote, go to the Home screen.
 * Look for the Screen Share app or option (it might be under Inputs or the Home Dashboard).
 * Select Screen Share and choose the Miracast option to make the projector discoverable.
B. Initiate Screen Share from Your Device
 * From an Android Phone/Tablet:
   * Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Settings panel.
   * Look for an icon labeled Smart View, Cast, Screen Mirroring, or Wireless Display.
   * Tap it and select your LG CineBeam Q from the list of devices.
 * From a Windows 10/11 PC:
   * Press the Windows key + K on your keyboard, or go to Action Center and click Project.
   * Click Connect to a wireless display.
   * Select your LG CineBeam Q from the list.
If you encounter issues, ensure your projector's software (webOS) is up-to-date and try power-cycling both the projector and your source device.
