Installing the Qubo Car Dashcam Pro X involves both physical placement in your car and a digital setup via the app.
🚘 Step-by-Step: Qubo Car Dashcam Pro X Installation
Part 1: Physical Installation
Prepare and Insert SD Card:
Crucial Step: Insert a Class 10 or above SD card (up to 1TB is supported) into the dashcam's SD card slot.
lean the Windshield:
Thoroughly clean the area on your windshield where you plan to install the dashcam. This is typically behind the rear-view mirror to avoid obstructing the driver's view.
Choose the Mounting Location:
Find a spot that gives the camera a clear, centered view of the road without blocking your vision or the air bag deployment area.
Attach the Mount (Adhesive):
Remove the protective film from the double-sided adhesive on the dashcam mount.
Carefully press the dashcam onto the chosen spot on the clean windshield.
Tip: It's recommended to first complete the setup/view check in the app (Part 2) before permanently sticking the adhesive.
Connect and Power Up:
Connect the USB cable (usually Mini USB) to the dashcam.
Turn your car's ignition ON. The dashcam should power on and you should see a Red LED indication.
The device will typically announce, "Qubo Dashcam is ready for Setup."
Cable Management (Tucking In):
Use the installation tool/pry tool provided to neatly tuck the long USB cable along the roof liner, down the A-pillar, and finally to the 12V power socket. This ensures the cable doesn't hang loose.
Part 2: App Setup & Digital Configuration
Download the Qubo Pro App:
Search for and download the Qubo Pro App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Launch and Sign In/Sign Up:
Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to Sign In or create a new account.
Connect to the Dashcam:
In the app, choose to install the Dashcam.
The app will automatically search for the dashcam's Wi-Fi hotspot.
Select the dashcam's Wi-Fi network to connect. If prompted for a password, the default is often 12345678.
Check Live View and Adjust Angle:
Once connected, use the app's Live View feature to check the camera's perspective.
Gently adjust the rotational angle of the dashcam to ensure you have the best possible view of the road.
Format the SD Card:
Within the Qubo Pro App settings, find the option to Format the SD Card. This ensures the card is properly configured for the dashcam and all memory space is available for recording.
Final Checks:
Confirm the dashcam is recording (check the settings in the app).
The device should automatically start recording when the car ignition is turned on ("Ride Started") and stop when the ignition is off ("Ride Stopped").
⚠️ Important Notes:
Driver Safety: Ensure the dashcam is installed at least 20\text{cm} away from the driver and passengers, and it does not obstruct the driver's view.
