Check Signal Strength: Before you walk away, open the Tapo app and check the live stream. If the video is lagging, you might be too far from your Wi-Fi router.
Angle for Motion: Don't point the camera directly at the sun. Also, motion detection works best when subjects move across the frame, rather than directly toward the camera.
Set Privacy Zones: If your camera faces a neighbor's window or a busy public street, use the app to black out those areas (Privacy Zones) to avoid false alerts and privacy issues.
