1. Insert the Batteries
- Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the camera.
- Insert 2 AA alkaline batteries (match + / – symbols). Fujifilm Instax Mini 12
- Close the cover securely.
2. Load the Instax Mini Film
- Slide open the film door at the back.
- Insert the film cartridge (align the yellow mark on the film pack with the yellow mark inside the camera).
- Close the film door until it clicks.
- Turn the camera ON and press the shutter once to eject the black protective cover (discard it).

- The lens will pop out—your camera is now ready to shoot.
4. Choose the Right Shooting Mode
The Instax Mini 12 automatically adjusts brightness—no manual settings needed.
Normal Mode
- Use for everyday photos.
- Just point and shoot.

- Twist the lens ring again until the Selfie/Close-Up icon appears.
- Best for:
- Selfies
- Objects from 30–50 cm
- Use the selfie mirror beside the lens to frame yourself.
5. Take a Photo
- Hold the camera steady.
- Look through the viewfinder (for close-ups, use the adjusted framing guide).
- Press the shutter button gently.
6. Wait for Your Photo to Develop Fujifilm Instax Mini 12
- The photo will eject automatically from the top.
- Wait about 90 seconds for full development.
- Do not shake the photo—just let it develop naturally.
7. Turn the Camera OFF
- Twist the lens ring back until it closes.
