Guide to Streaming on Lumio Arc 5 with Google TV ( smart projector)

Lumio Arc 5 is a smart projector that runs native Google TV, which means streaming on it is very similar to using a smart TV or a Chromecast.
You don't necessarily need an external streaming stick  because the operating system is built right in.
Here is a step-by-step guide to the different ways you can stream content on your Lumio Arc 5.
Method 1: Using the Built-in Google TV (Recommended)
Since the Arc 5 is Netflix-certified and runs Android TV 11, this is the easiest way to watch content.
 Power On & Connect:
Plug in the projector and press the power button on the Minion Noir remote or the device.
Complete the initial setup (Auto-focus and Keystone will adjust automatically via the STR8 system).
   Connect to your Wi-Fi network.

Log in with your Google Account. This syncs your YouTube history and allows you to download apps.
 Access Apps:
Pre-installed: Apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube usually come pre-installed. You can launch them directly from the home screen or use the dedicated buttons on the remote.
Download New Apps: Navigate to the "Apps" tab on the top menu. Search for other services like Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV, JioCinema, or Plex and install them.
 Voice Search:
Press the Google Assistant button (microphone icon) on the remote and say, "Play Stranger Things on Netflix" or "Open YouTube" to jump straight to content.
Method 2: Casting from Your Phone (Chromecast)
The Arc 5 has Chromecast Built-in. This is perfect for apps that are easier to browse on your phone or for showing photos.
Ensure your mobile device (phone/tablet) and the Lumio Arc 5 are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Open a compatible app on your phone (e.g., YouTube, Netflix, Google Photos).
Tap the Cast icon (a rectangle with Wi-Fi waves in the corner).
Select "Lumio Arc 5" (or whatever name you gave the device during setup) from the list.
The video will stop playing on your phone and start streaming on the projector screen.
Method 3: HDMI Connection (Laptops & Consoles)
If you want to stream from a laptop, gaming console (PS5/Xbox), or a set-top box:
Connect your device to the HDMI port on the back of the projector.
The projector should auto-detect the signal. If not, press the Settings/Input button on the remote and select HDMI.
The HDMI port supports ARC, so if you have a soundbar that supports it, you can simplify your audio cabling here.
Method 4: USB Playback (Offline Media)
If you have movie files on a pen drive or hard disk:
Plug your drive into the USB port.
Download a media player app like VLC for Android or MX Player from the Google Play Store (on the projector).
Open the app, browse your USB drive, and select your file to play. Lumio Arc 5 is a smart projector
Essential Tips for the Best Experience
Audio Upgrade: The internal 5W speaker is decent for small rooms, but for a movie experience, connect a Bluetooth speaker. Go to Settings > Remotes & Accessories > Pair Remote or Accessory to connect your Bluetooth speaker or headphones.
Image Adjustment: If you move the projector, the Auto-Keystone and Auto-Focus should trigger automatically. If the image looks blurry or tilted, you can force a recalibration by pressing the focus button on the remote or going to Settings > Projector Settings.
Netflix Certification: Unlike many cheap projectors that require "hacks" to run Netflix, the Arc 5 is certified. Always use the official app for the best resolution (1080p).
