Here’s a simple step-by-step guide on how to use your (128 GB USB flash drive):
📌 1. Plug It In
- Extend or reveal the USB connector on the flash drive.
- Insert the USB plug into an available USB port on your computer (USB-A). If your computer has USB 3.0/3.1 ports (often with blue inside the port), use those for faster file transfer speeds.
- Your computer should automatically recognize the drive and show it as a removable drive in File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (macOS).
💾 2. Transfer Files
Once the drive appears in your file manager:
To copy files to the drive:
- Open the folder with the files you want to save.
- Drag & drop them into the flash drive window.
- Or right-click → Copy, then open the flash drive and Paste.
To open files from the drive:
- Double-click the drive icon and open the file as you would normally.
Tip: Don’t remove the flash drive while files are transferring — this can cause errors.
⚙️ 3. (Optional) Format the Drive
The drive usually comes formatted with FAT32, which works on most systems.

On Windows
- Right-click the drive in This PC/My Computer
- Select Format
- Choose exFAT (compatible with most modern devices) or NTFS (good for Windows systems)
- Click Start
On Mac (macOS)
- Open Disk Utility
- Select the flash drive
- Click Erase
- Choose exFAT
- Click Erase
⚠️ Formatting erases all data on the drive, so back up anything you want to keep first.
🛡️ 4. Safely Eject the Drive
Before unplugging the flash drive:
- On Windows: Click the “Safely Remove Hardware” icon ➝ choose your USB drive.
- On Mac: Drag the drive icon to the Trash (which turns into an Eject icon) or click Eject next to the drive in Finder.
This ensures all data is fully written and
